The Winchester history began in 1854 with the introduction of volcanic repeating handguns. The company evolved with the Henry repeating rifle (the Civil War gun you could load on Sunday and fire all week long) and became an icon of the old west with the venerable Winchester '73. MANUALS FOR OLD WINCHESTERS - Winchester Catalogs from 1875 through 1920 contained operation manuals for all guns including cutaway drawings and component parts pictures. Identify when your gun was made and then buy that year catalog.
