VINTAGE SOLID 10K YELLOW GOLD ENAMEL DECORATED 32nd DEGREE MASONIC BADGE

Description

This is a Vintage Solid 10K Yellow Gold Enamel Decorated 32nd Degree Masonic Badge.  I recently acquired this at a local auction.  It is not marked but acid tests to 10K.  I believe this piece dates from 1890 to around 1920 (maybe even earlier.)  It is done in plain yellow gold with a bright polished finish.  The Badge holds a lower section with an Enamel Decorated highly detailed Masonic Double Head Eagle Symbol over a Red Enameled Cross with a Triangle holding the number 32 (for 32nd Degree.)
This section hangs on a top with a pin back and bar for holding some type of ribbon (please see photos.)  The pin and guard appear to be original and are in good working condition.
Overall the badge measures 1 1/4 inches tall by 1 1/8 inches wide (at the widest) and weighs 5.1 grams on my digital postal scale.
