ANTIQUE GOLD & SILVER NATURAL SALT WATER PEARL & ROSE CUT DIAMOND PENDANT c1700s
An antique solid 14 carat gold (tests) backed and silver fronted pendant; beautifully made, with a stylized floral frame set throughout with glistening foiled rose-cut diamonds and a large lustrous natural pearl drop. With its pearl identification report certificate.
Rare, stunningly beautiful & very collectible...extremely wearable too!
CONDITION
: Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Faintest hairlines to nacre - nothing serious. One or two possible old repairs to back of mount - of no consequence. One or two stones nicked & some natural foil discolouration.
DATE/MARKS
: 18th century. Later control marks to top ring.
DIMENSIONS
: Total drop 40 mm, pearl approx. 13 x 10 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). Outer stones 3 mm diameter, inner stones 2 mm diameter. To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT
: Approx. 7.4 grams.
