1953 Pontiac Custom

Description

This is a very nice old Pontiac Catalina station wagon. It has NEVER had any rust issues. The body is fairly straight. The paint has been made to look like natural patina. It is coated with a flat clear coat to protect it. The interior is very expensive and high end installation. It is running a rebuilt later model 400 Cu In Pontiac engine with a rebuilt 400 Turbo transmission. The rear end is actually the factory reared. It has a late model GM front clip with poor disc brakes and power steering. All of the front end suspension components have been replaced with new ones. Brakes and shocks are all new as well. It has been lowered a few inches. It is sitting on new wide white wall radial tires. It has a new after market A?C unit that blows very cold. Since it came for the South, it does not have a heater. The rear hatch lock is missing the little part that actually latches the top hatch to the bottom tail gate. ( see pics ) It stays closed just fine but will not lock like the doors do. The good news is that any 1949 - 1954 Pontiac or Chevrolet wagon latch will work. The surf board does NOT go with the car. Just a very cool old wagon to cruise around town in.
