    Description

1950 Ford Pickup Flathead V8!  3 day No Reserve!
Here for your consideration I have a very solid 1950 Ford Pickup.  This was a one family owned vehicle, until I was lucky enough to recently purchase it.
This truck was born in Kansas City, and spent it's entire life in dry western Kansas, which explains its solid condition.  There is a little rust along a bed side, but is overall very rust free.  Solid floors, fenders, etc.  Just a good ol' honest pickup.  No body filler, and never been painted as far as I can tell, which gives it that great, impossible to reproduce, patina.  A good paint job can take weeks to get back from the body shop, but this original look took 71 years!
Mechanically, this truck appears to be complete and original.  It was "running when parked" which was when the family patriarch passed away, roughly 20 years ago.  I checked the oil, and it was clean and not milky or overfilled, I tried to turn the engine with the belts by hand, and it wouldn't turn, so I pulled the spark plugs and lubed the cylinders with WD-40, and PB Blaster.  I am guessing that it will free up pretty easily once it soaks for awhile.
The original owners had the pickup stored inside on the old homeplace, until it was sold, and then it got moved to the pasture.  Although they wanted to keep it, they noticed one day that someone had shot it a couple of times with a 22 (didn't even make it inside of cab)  and they decided it needed to go to a good home.  Luckily they called me!  So - hopefully this gives you a pretty good idea of what you are bidding on.  I think with a little mechanical ability and a few weekends of work this will be a driver.  It is very complete, so you are not going to have to hunt up a bunch of parts.  It is a F3 long bed, which is a little different than most of the pickups you see, it does need glass, but glass kits are pretty cheap for these (all flat glass).  Truck comes with good Kansas Vin # matching title.  I buy and sell these old trucks for fun, so please check my previous feedback, I'm not out to make a fast buck!
