1938 Ford Other Pickups

Introduction:
It is my great honor and pleasure to present this 1938 81Y Ford Truck “One Tonner Express”. This truck was the work horse of any farm or commercial operation of its day. She has been restored to most of its original beauty and charm with very minimalistic upgrades for a touch of modern.
Exterior:
Covering every square inch of the original, rust free, body-lines is a rich biscuit tan enamel with striking russet brown accents. The paint is in excellent condition with very few minor imperfections, which are limited to a few knicks. I would give the paint an 8-8.5 out of 10. The paint was color corrected and finished off with a super slick ceramic coating. All of the glass is brand new crystal clear with no chips or cracks. The brightwork is original and does show some signs of wear, but honestly it really polishes up and presents well. Carrying whatever cargo you would like, is the flatbed platform with removeable wood stake bed sides.
Interior:
Open either door and step into the simplicity and durability of years long past. The interior of this truck was completely redone when the truck was restored including door panels, carpet, bench seat, and a brand-new gauge cluster. There are no rips, tears, or stains on any interior surface. The original gauges were replaced with a more modern operating set from TPI Tech Instruments.
Mechanical:
Under the hood you will find an 60HP 221ci Ford Flathead V-8 engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. The engine maintains most of its originality outside of being converted to an alternator charging system, a full 12v electronic ignition system, and a set of Red’s Flathead Headers. The entire electrical system has been converted to 12v which includes a brand new Haywire electrical system harness with fused power distribution. The truck now has all turn signals and brake lights to meet current street legal requirements. At the time of restoration the entire fuel system was redone as well including, relocated fuel cell, new electric fuel pump, new fuel lines from tank to carb, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The original mechanical braking system is still in place and works probably as well as it did when she rolled of the line in 1938. She runs cool and starts right up and is a drives really well.
