    Description

    1935 Ford Pickup Truck
    This awesome, one-of-a-kind truck is a work of art, professionally built by Mike Crawford and Jimmy Ham. This truck as all the right stuff to make it the center of attention wherever you go. The truck was put together and taken apart several times for fit, gaps and to ensure everything would fit properly in all the tight areas. This truck was a thought out build and no
    expense
    or labor was spared throughout this build.
    You likely notice the radiator is in the rear. The coolant is piped through stainless steel seamless tubing inside each frame rail for cooling. The grill shell only houses the a/c condenser and electric fan.
    The truck is not only a show piece but it’s a lot of fun to drive. The Hemi is a hit even if you are not a Mopar guy. It sounds great, has plenty of power, good street manners and can cruise down the highway at 70mph without an issue.
    A functioning hand crank roll out windshield was incorporated in the build for the kool factor. The interior is beautiful. The color coded the low gloss tan has a clean modern look, the bomber seats and 32” shifter tie it all together nicely for the era look of the build. This truck is a quality build, the magnificent work and labor that has gone into this build is obvious throughout each piece of detail. It is not a rat rod! This is a very meticulous high-end build with high end parts. The truck has about 5,200 miles on it now. The
    mileage
    may go up slightly as I do drive it from time to time on the weekends.
    All parts for this build were brand new. There is over 60k in the build and that does not include all the labor. I will be including a binder with lots of information on the truck, parts, etc., just in case something broke you would know what part it is to replace it.
    MOTOR
    1955 / 331 Hemi built by Hot Heads of Carolina. They are well known and specialize in Early Hemi's.
    It includes a Hot Heads aluminum intake, topped with a Holley 650 cfm double pumper carburetor, electric choke, and electric fuel pump. Motor has a nice sounding cam with good street manners. The front factory timing cover has been replaced by a new billet cover from Hot Heads that incorporates a short, small block Chevy water pump with matching Billet pulley’s a custom a/c alternator bracket sits on top of that. I’ve been in traffic at 95 degrees with the ac running and the coolant temp didn’t get above 195. No overheating issues here.
    TRANS
    It has an adapter plate from Transdapt.com to adapt the GM Turbo 350 transmission. The TH350 has a mild shift kit and a 3,000 stall converter. In addition, there is an external transmission cooler with electric fan mounted under the cab between the frame rails to keep a clean look.
    IGINITION
    Mallory Unilite dist. with through the firewall mount with coil located inside firewall for a clean look and red Taylor plug wires
    HEADERS
    A custom set of headers were built for this truck from Gear Venders. Then wrapped for an era correct look and style. The headers do have baffles inside.
    BODY
    The cab of the truck and frame were custom built by Russ No More Street Rods of Chatham, Louisiana and has a 3 “chop.
    I have owned several of the nicest made glass hot rod body’s over the years. This truck has to be one the nicest fiberglass body’s I’ve ever seen. The floor alone is over ¼ inch thick. The doors use a one-piece design inside the tracks, glass, window runs, and latches are one component I’ve never seen anything like it. The body is topnotch, doors align and shut well. I have a steel 37 ford truck and I can tell no difference between this truck and the steel truck when opening and shutting the doors.
    INTERIOR
    Dolphin gauges, custom dash pad, custom console, stainless cup holders, lokar 32” shifter with custom skull shifter knob, custom Bomber style hot rod seats, custom fold down fuse box under the dash for easy access to fuse block if needed. Quick Wires wiring harness. (The wiring in this truck is done correctly, professionally, and run clean and neat). Ididit tilt column with Billet specialties steering banjo wheel, matching banjo window cranks & door handles. Under dash lights &overhead dome light.
    One awesome feature of the interior is the functioning Pop Out Windshield. It has an awesome look and produces great cab air flow cruising down the road while looking over the view of the Hemi.
    The wiring on this truck is a work of art itself. All (every) wire is soldered & shrink wrapped. No butt connectors here anywhere. The truck has a Hypercool A/C unit and blows cold. No heat, but the unit does have a heat option so it could easily be added.
    The dash was kept clean and neat with most switches & ignition overhead. Cell phone charger hidden under dash.
    REAR END
    A completely rebuild9” Ford with a 342 gear. Rear suspension is wishbone set up with a set of Firestone Airbags to the lower control arms.
    FRONT SUSPENSION
    Superbell II front dropped axle with Disc brakes, Vega Steering box from Flaming River. A custom set of Shockwaves Handles the ride height & shocks up front. A Vair 444compressor & 3-gal tank supports the air ride. There is a manual air fill spicket on the tank as a precautionary fail safe. Paddle valves and gauges are in the dash to control ride height front & rear. This truck lays out almost to the rockers. It has the ability to lay out on the rockers, but I didn’t want the truck to touch the ground, so I had stops built too keep it just off the ground when laid out. It could easily be changed by removing the bolt in stops. All but 2 of the pictures taken was with it laid out with stops installed.
    The truck has power brakes that work great, disk on the front and drums on the back.
    FRAME
    Please check out pics. The frame is a custom one-off work of art thanks to Russ Nomore. All welds were ground perfectly smooth & the custom rails are absolutely awesome. Wheelbase is 122” vs. Fords original wheel base of 112”.
    COOLING
    Radiator is a custom 4core Transverse mounted in rear. No hose clamps here. All connections are done with a shrink tubing for a clean look. One electric fan on radiator & one on A/C condenser up front. As mentioned before, the radiator piping runs through each side of the boxed in custom frame. The piping is all  steel to ensure no corrosion, leaks, or issues of any kind.
    PAINT
    The paint is Sikkens base coast (easily repaired) with a satin clear. Body and paint are slick. I have the paint code in the truck file that will go with the truck. All body panels were epoxied, sealed, and base cleared. The frame & firewall are a single stage urethane gloss finish, also every inch epoxied before color. The "Rat Fink" Big Daddy Roth mural is painted onto the doors. The doors could easily be repainted if you didn’t want the artwork, but it does go with the era of the truck build. Also, the lightning holes are professionally air brushed on the frame as actual lightning holes would not have worked with the stainless piping running inside the frame.
    WHEELS AND TIRES
    The wheels are brand new old school steelies the rear tires are Firestone 8.20x15s cheater pie crust white wall slicks the fronts are Coker Classics white walls P185/70R15. Tires are street legal.
    THE BAD
    Not much to put here but there are a few things to try and be as honest transparent as possible.
    The truck has about 5,200 miles on it and has been running the pie crust slicks, so there are some chips here and there. Mostly the back corners of the cab area. I have included some pictures to represent this. The pictures are of one side of the truck, the chips are the same on both sides. The matt color makes them hard to see unless you are right up close and at the right angle. Also, there is a large chip on the grill shell. Picture included. Although there are some chips in these areas, the truck still presents itself very very well…..just trying to be fully transparent. The only other thing can think of is if the truck sits for an extended period of time, (days/weeks)it leaves about a quarter size spot of oil on the ground.

    May consider trade for a 1955 Chevy Post or an early Chevelle I can fit my family in.
