    This is a nice example of a gold posy ring, dating to the 17th - 18th century. The ring is inscribed "
    Wee ioine our harts in god
    " (
    We joined our hearts in God
    ) a sentiment recorded in Evans (106). It bears no makers marks, so is broadly dated from the mid 17th - 18th century. A nice ring that would have originally been worn as a wedding band, as such can be worn again today.
